Birthing in Boston was founded by Birth Doula, Perinatal Massage Therapist, Educator and Community Activist Bonnie Rovics.
Bonnie has worked with pregnant people for over 20 years as a perinatal massage therapist, and shiatsu practitioner. She became a birth doula in 2010 and is a certified educator in Hypnobirthing®, Spinning Babies®, and as a Childbirth Educator. She is also currently in training as a newborn CPR instructor.
Birthing in Boston is working towards creating access to Childbirth education in Boston, Ma for everyone. Accessible, local, out of hospital education. Collectively we hold a vision towards a birthing education resource center, board run, collectively owned, with a lens on birthing justice, advanced trainings for birth workers, access to support for parents of all income levels, races, genders and sexual identities. Hosting classes run with cultural competence and a trauma informed space.
We have a wonderful network of educators ready to teach and work out of this space once we can establish it.
Participate in our community support Zoom sessions to connect with other parents and receive guidance on finding the right hospital, practice, home birth midwife, classes and support.
